Penis Enlargement: How Does It Work?

Forget the pills and potions found in the back of magazines, or the dubious looking solutions advertised online. If you want a larger penis, the most effective way to achieve it is through cosmetic surgery – and it is something that we specialise in.

Many men don’t realise that penis enlargement is often a viable option to them, but why not? After all, the penis is only another part of the body, and other body parts can have cosmetic surgery on them.
How penis enlargement works is something that people still don’t understand though, so this page is designed to talk you through the procedures, allowing you to know what to expect, both in terms of the surgery and the results you’ll gain.

Length or Girth?

The first thing to do – in conjunction with our specialist team – is to decide whether it is the length or the girth of your penis that is going to be enhanced. In reality, most men decide that both should be done at the same time, in order to retain a good balance. Below you’ll find how each of the options are carried out:
  • Penis girth enlargement. This is achieved by injecting fat from another part of the body into the penis, therefore increasing the girth of the penis by up to 4cm. This is carried out by trained plastic surgeons and therefore the risks are minimal.
  • Penis length enlargement. Penis length enlargement is slightly more complex than girth enlargement. Generally the ligament attaching the penis to the pubic bone is cut and then a skin graft is carried out to give extra length. It should be noted that the length of the penis will only be larger when the penis is flaccid, and that when erect the penis size will be the same.

The Procedure

When you have decided on the procedure that’s right for you, you will have a time scheduled for the procedure. Providing everything goes correctly, you will be able to go home after the operation. You will be under the care of one of the UK’s most experienced penis enlargement teams throughout the procedure, as they have completed a large number of procedures throughout their careers.

After the Procedure

As already stated, you’ll be able to go home after the operation is completed. Do not expect to drive home though, as you will have been given a local anaesthetic, which will impair your ability to drive. After the operation, you’ll need to abstain from both sex and exercise for a period of time – the specialists will be able to advise you on this more. You’ll also need to plan on having some time off work – you certainly won’t be able to return to work the next day.
We will schedule in after care appointments for you after the procedure. You will need to have stitches removed, and we also need to make sure that the procedure has gone correctly. If you have had girth enlargement surgery, you might also have to come back in order to have the procedure repeated at some point, as the fat used will get gradually absorbed back into the body.

Why Have Penis Enlargement?

Penis enlargement is considered a cosmetic procedure, as it has no strictly medical benefits. That being said, it can benefit how a person feels. For a man, the feeling of having an undersized penis can be an embarrassing one, making them feel inferior and embarrassed around sexual partners. Penis enlargement surgery therefore increases confidence, making the person’s quality of life that much better.
